China is a country that produces, applies and exports mosquito-repellent incense with a great amount. In 2016, the output of insecticide technical materials was about 500 thousand tonnes. The market scale of the incense was RMB6.6 billion and the volume of exported incense was around 74 thousand tonnes.

The mosquito-repellent incense, as a traditional way to drive mosquitos away, still possesses a large market, especially at the south region where it is an essential mosquito-repellent product in summers. For recent years, electric mosquito mats and liquids become more popular among customers, and outputs of the liquids grow year by year.

For that along with the urbanization the living standards will be improved, mosquito-repellent products will most consist of the liquid products, leading to the decreasing sales of coil repellents. In 2022, the market scale of the mosquito-repellent incense will reach RMB11 billion.
